Holiday Extras was named Best Insurance Provider, for the fourth consecutive year, at the Globe Travel Awards held last Wednesday at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel.
The UK’s market-leading travel add-ons company walked away with the Best Insurance gong at the glittering ceremony hosted by Travel Weekly’s Group editor-in-chief Lucy Huxley and comedian Jack Whitehall.
Organised by trade publication Travel Weekly, the Globe Travel Awards asks travel agents to vote for their favourite players in the industry, and this year Holiday Extras fought off tough competition from top names including Essential Travel and Insure2Travel.
Andrea Clayton, Head of Insurance and Travel Trade Partnerships, at Holiday Extras, said: “We’re really proud to have achieved this honour for the fourth time. Over the last year we have been working really hard to develop our portfolio of travel insurance products so that we can offer customers the best range of mainstream and niche holiday cover on the market.”
Other big winners included Thomson, who scooped three awards, and Superbreak, Attraction World and Royal Caribbean, who all received double honours. Holiday Extras was also shortlisted in the Best Add-ons Provider category, which was won by Attraction World.
