Holiday Extras walked away triumphant from the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) last Thursday night as Employer of the Year, for the second time since 2009.
Winners were announced at a gala dinner and awards presentation on Thursday 28 June at the Priestfield Conference Venue, home of Gillingham Football Club in Kent.
Anouk Agussol, Head of People at Holiday Extras, said: “What a fantastic achievement for the whole team, especially to beat such great opposition. Over the past year we have worked really hard to continue to make Holiday Extras an even more amazing place to work and learn, and this award shows how far we have come. It is the people at Holiday Extras who make us who we are, so really, this award is thanks to them!”
Staged and produced jointly by Kent County Council and the Kent Messenger Group to recognise and reward excellence in Kent’s businesses, the KEiBAs entail a rigorous judging process. Two hundred and sixty five companies entered this year’s awards across 13 categories, with more than 450 guests attending the event.
Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, Mark Dance, said: “I was delighted to see so many outstanding businesses and entrepreneurs last night. All of the entrants were of an extremely high standard and Kent has once again shown that it really is the place to do business.
“I want to send my heartfelt congratulations to everyone who took part in this year’s KEiBA – and in particular to the exceptional and deserving winners.”
Holiday Extras congratulates Component Force and Reeves, who were also finalists in the Employer of the Year category.
Earlier this year, Holiday Extras was named one of the UK’s Best 100 Companies to Work For in the annual Sunday Times list.
