While recent research has revealed that family destinations are more affordable this half term, HolidayExtras.com is reminding consumers that turning up at the airport without pre-booking extras like parking could make the holiday just as expensive – if not more.
Holiday travellers don’t need to book travel add-ons far in advance to make savings: many deals can still be found the day before travel – or even the departure day itself – with HolidayExtras.com.
At Manchester airport, holidaymakers can save a whopping £95 on the standard price of JetParks Plus, which serves all three terminals, just by booking one day ahead.
Families flying from Gatwick this weekend can book a night’s stay at the Premier Inn Manor Royal with a week’s secured parking at Airparks from £84.
Or those purely looking for parking can save up to £26.90 on an eight-day package at the Gatwick Long Stay South. Prices start from £65.10 with HolidayExtras.com, whereas turn-up-and-pay customers would fork out around £92.
A family room at a four-star Heathrow hotel can be picked up for £49 with an Undercover hotel deal.
Jason Hindle, Head of Commercial at HolidayExtras.com, said: “These prices and savings are proof that holiday travellers should always book ahead – even if they’re due to travel the next day.”
