launch gadget cover in time for Christmas

In flight entertainmentHolidaymakers can protect their much-loved gadgets with a new policy from award-winning insurance provider Holiday Extras.

The Silver Gadget Policy, which costs £15, insures up to five electronic items to the value of £2,000. The cover is valid for 17 days, and will pay out if any item is stolen or accidentally damaged.

The insurance is available as an add-on to customers who make an airport hotel or parking booking with

Andrea Clayton, Head of Insurance, commented: “Losing your treasured holiday snaps would be bad enough … losing your expensive camera at the same time would be a complete kick in the teeth!

“This new type of cover can’t protect the irreplaceable, but if you happen to drop your smartphone in the pool or your laptop gets swiped, it could be a financial bonus.”
