Dreaded Christmas gifts revealed

A new poll by HolidayExtras.com has unwrapped the top gifts to steer clear of for men. Nearly 20 per cent of men put a pair of novelty socks at the top of the most dreaded Christmas present list. Followed by those retro stocking-staples; the Soap on the Rope and Old Spice Aftershave.
14 per cent of women confessed to dreading finding a household appliance under the tree, suggesting that a bit of pampering wouldn’t be unwelcome. But, be careful not to scrimp on the cost, because 30 per cent of women aren’t at all keen on receiving cheap toiletries.
And a quarter of those asked which present they would most dread finding under the tree embraced the true Christmas spirit when they declared that whatever the gift, it is the thought that counts.

It’s all clear to play it safe and give a gift voucher as these were declared to be the least dreaded of all gifts. And, the good old Christmas Hamper is a universally acceptable pressie.

James Lewis, head of partnerships at Holiday Extras commented: “I agree that it’s the thought that counts – Novelty socks, Christmas jumpers, Old Spice, Soap on a Rope and even a box of chocolate liqueurs are all welcomed in my Christmas stocking!”
