Latitude insurance from Holiday Extras
This winter, agents can help older clients or those with medical conditions to find well-priced travel insurance with Holiday Extras’ specialist policy, Latitude.
Latitude is available to customers booking through a travel agent who are declined a standard Holiday Extras insurance policy. Retail agents earn 20% commission on every Latitude booking. Unlike any other insurance provider, Holiday Extras pays commission on the whole net premium rather than just the base premium.
The referral policy covers those with pre-existing medical conditions, who have been declined Holiday Extras’ standard travel insurance, and includes winter sports and cruising holidays.
Benefits include medical expenses of up to £15 million, cancellation charges up to £5,000 and baggage claims up to £2,000.
Latitude travel insurance is competitively priced compared to similar products on the market and has proved very popular with travellers since its launch in 2012.
Andrea Clayton, Head of Insurance at HolidayExtras.com, said: “With Latitude we’re aiming to make travel possible, and easy, for everyone who wants to get out there. At this time of year there are a lot of older travellers exploring the world, or just having a break from the miserable British winter, and for those who are not an “average” holidaymaker insurance can be prohibitively priced.
“We’ll automatically refer anyone who is declined when screening on our standard policies, so there’s no extra work for agents. This is a great benefit to travellers and another way we can help agents grow their customer base and revenue per booking. Basically, our agents can earn more for doing less!”
