M.A.D – Mums Against DIPG Challenge

Holiday Extras is supporting the Abbie’s Army M.A.D (Mums Against DIPG) Lakes Challenge, which will take place in between 25 -26 May, 2013.

Twenty very special women, will attempt a complete crossing of the Lake District National Park from South to North this spring. They will be canoeing, cycling, walking, scrambling and abseiling.

Steve Lawrence, Group CEO Holiday Extras, who presented a cheque for £1,500 to the group, said: “We are so happy to be able to help these brave people from Abbie’s Army to get to a milestone amount of £30,000.  Everyone at Holiday Extras wishes them well and we hope that the Lakes Challenge will get them closer to raising their target of

£100,000.

Amanda Walker, Abbie’s mum, met up at Holiday Extras’ Newingreen HQ, The Wave, to accept the donation, she said: “ This help from Holiday Extras is simply amazing, thank you for all your help, you are all now part of the journey to finding a cure for DIPG with us.”
