The Hythe travel company Holiday Extras scooped the award for Most Engaging Benefits Package at the Employee Benefits Awards – which took place at the London HAC’s Royal Artillery Garden last Friday – for its online employee benefits portal my.extras.
my.extras was launched in 2012 after weeks of teaser campaigns, and the team at Holiday Extras now have access to a multitude of discounts on everyday items such as groceries, toiletries and utilities; and can enjoy impressive savings on things like electrical goods, fashion, gifts and holidays.
The portal complemented traditional benefits like pensions and childcare vouchers with benefits designed to appeal to its young workforce including Social Club (offering discounts on a variety of activities like concerts and theatre tickets) and holiday buy.
Emma Finch, Rewards and Branding Executive at Holiday Extras said, “Having a choice of 15 benefits meant the team could choose what was right for them and their families. It’s been a fantastic twelve months for Holiday Extras, particularly in terms of recognition of our enhanced employee benefits package.
“Friday’s win joins a stream of awards, including nineteenth place in the Sunday Times Top 100 Best Companies to Work For, and Employer of the Year at the 2012 KEiBAs. Winning yet another award is a lovely way to celebrate our 30th anniversary.”
