With the summer holidays now in full swing, airport parking spaces are in high demand. The market-leading add-ons provider Holiday Extras reminds holiday travellers that there are significant savings for one week and two weeks’ parking – A quick visit to their website precludes the need to jostle for space or pay through the nose.
What are the savings in peak season at Heathrow?
The best price at Heathrow at the moment is £60.10 for one week. This is a Mystery Parking product – so the savings are a secret along with the name of the car park. Travellers flying from Heathrow terminals 1 & 2 will certainly make a saving when they book this option, though.
Alternatively, travellers can book the Long Stay car park at terminal 4 for £75.30 for the week. That’s a saving of £47.90 on the turn-up-and-park rate.
Those who are taking a two-week break can make even better savings. The Mystery Parking is £77.20 and the Long stay car park at terminal 5 costs just £89.85. That’s a massive saving of £153.75 on the turn-up-on-the-day rate.
And at Gatwick?
Gatwick Airport Airparks, the off-airport car park with runway views, has a special sale price at present. They offer the keenest price to fit tight budgets at £69.99 for a week’s holiday parking.
For the utmost in convenience and reliability, Maple Manor offer a week’s Meet & Greet car parking for £84.99 or the on-airport Long Stay car parks can be pre-booked with Holiday Extras for £82.29 – a saving of £21.71 on the turn-up gate rate.
Anthony Clarke-Cowell, Communications Director at Holiday Extras, commented: “Everyone can make savings by booking ahead and these prices illustrate that you don’t have to plan too far in advance to get a good deal. It’s worth keeping in mind that an airport hotel package with parking can often cost little more than the parking alone – You can find an Undercover hotel deal at Gatwick at the moment for £88 and that includes up to 15 days’ parking!”
Parking prices were searched on August 8 for a stay on August 17 – 24 or 17 – 31 August.
