Match: Steve Jackson hitting 95 not out, and Brian Cox taking 3 wickets for 23.

Training has not been easy for the Stowting this season after a tree was blown down during storms last winter causing damage to the practice area. Sponsorship from local travel company, Holiday Extras, will go towards funding new training facilities and replacing the damaged practice nets used by the club.

Steve Jackson, Club Committee Member of Stowting Cricket Club, said: “For a club of our size, trying to find the money to rebuild what was damaged would have been a major challenge. The sponsorship from Holiday Extras will go a long way, not only to help the cricket club but also to encourage local youngsters to join and help the club in the future.”

Ant Clarke Cowell, Communications Director at Holiday Extras said: “We’re delighted to be able to help towards the repair work at Stowting Cricket Club. A project like this is important not just for the cricket club but also the local community, and we look forward to them being able to use their training new facilities again soon.”
