Holiday Extras hosted its first-ever Partner’s Day at its head office campus in Kent this Thursday. Over a hundred of the company’s partners attended, including representatives from TUI, National Express, Easyjet and Monarch.
Activities ran from the morning right through until the evening with one of the highlights being the team-building fun activities of the afternoon – The HX Games. Partners were invited take part in a typical Holiday Extras style event which included events such as; human foosball, archery and track & field.
For those that stayed for the evening event at the Hythe Imperial, there was a tempting Indian meal followed by drinks with live entertainment from local indie/rock band, Realm 79.
James Lewis, Head of Partnerships, who hosted the event, explained the ideas behind the event:
“ We have a number of long-term and new partners who may never have experienced the way that we work first-hand . We felt that it was important for our partners to see where we work and for them to meet the team.
“Our ethos is all about working hard and having fun as well – we thought that this day was a good way for our partners to get to know us better and to join in the fun with us. I’m sure that all who enjoyed the event will be even more confident that their customers are in safe hands with us.”
Belinda Vazquez, Ancillaries and Commercial Business Development at TUI, who attended the event throughout the day and into the evening, commented: “What a brilliant event! It was great to hear Holiday Extras’ future strategy, have a tour of their building and meet the core departments. It clearly demonstrated how agile the business is and how quickly they can implement change. As for the team building activities and entertainment; they certainly know how to do this in style, so much fun and some priceless moments!”
