Tea and Crisps, Anyone?

Over half of UK holidaymakers claim that the one thing they can’t live without on holiday is a nice cup of tea!

Research from a poll of over 3,500 holiday travellers undertaken by travel specialists, HolidayExtras.com, has revealed that 51 per cent of people crave a brew whilst they’re on holiday so much, that they pack a supply of PG Tips tea bags to last for the whole trip.

The statistics also show that almost one in five (18 per cent) don’t substitute their favourite crisps for locally available alternatives at their destination. Instead they  cram a healthy supply of Walkers Crisps into their suitcases before boarding the flight.

Commenting on the research, Ant Clarke Cowell at Holiday Extras said: “It’s the little things that help provide home comforts on holiday, though many might not admit to cramming their cases with tea and crisps! These British favourites won’t weigh you down – though they do take up a fair bit of packing space…however, I’m not surprised that so many holidaymakers can’t do without some of these British staples on their travels.”
