Holiday Extras and Rentalcars Connect join forces with new strategic partnership, the market leader for travel extras, and Rentalcars Connect, the B2B division of the world’s biggest online car rental service,, announce that they have signed a new long-term agreement.

The agreement is the culmination of a strategic review in which Holiday Extras sought a supplier to support it across all channels. This follows a successful two year long partnership with Flexible Autos, which proved the business case for car hire as a new core product in Holiday Extras’ expanding product range.

Holiday Extras now has access to the full Rentalcars Connect’s portfolio, including both and Rideways, the group’s global airport transfers, taxis and executive cars service. The reciprocal agreement also sees, the consumer brand, offering their customers access to Holiday Extras’ market-leading range of airport parking and airport lounges.

The Holiday Extras direct business transitioned to the Rentalcars Connect white label in early September, with API integration following over the coming months for intermediary and retail partners.

Commenting on the new partnership, Holiday Extras Group Deputy CEO, Simon Hagger said: “We are very excited about this opportunity. It’s the latest milestone in our rapid product development roadmap that has seen the successful launch of Airport Transfers, Attraction Tickets and Foreign Exchange over the past 12 months. During the two years that we have offered car hire, demand has exceeded our expectations – with growth of over 50% year on year.

Rentalcars Connect impressed us with their focus on great tech, high quality and market leading pricing and we look forward to making the car hire booking process even easier and more transparent for our customers now and in the future.

We are delighted to win the Travel Trade Gazette Award for Car Hire Supplier of the Year for the second year in a row, which serves to illustrate the positive feedback we have had from the addition of car hire to the Holiday Extras portfolio.”

Fraser Ellacott, Managing Director of Rentalcars Connect, added: “This is a unique and complementary partnership that is a significant step forward for both companies. We are both committed to putting the customer first; testing, learning and being ambitious when it comes to growth within our markets. We are creating an opportunity through this partnership to offer our customers both the products and services they want in a seamless, integrated experience.”
